We shortlist tutors with experience in your child’s subject and level, then interview each one ourselves. We only match a tutor when we’re confident they’re the right fit.

Yes. If it isn’t working, tell us and we’ll find someone else. No awkward conversations needed.

Yes. You can message your child’s tutor from your Nerdely account, which is a good way to share upcoming tests or topics your child is finding hard.

Lessons happen live and one to one in our online classroom, with video, chat and a shared whiteboard. It runs in the browser, so there’s nothing to install.

Each lesson is 50 minutes.

A laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a quiet space. Headphones help.

Yes. Lessons changed or cancelled at least 24 hours before they start aren’t charged. Later than that counts as a lesson, because the tutor has kept that time free for you.

Prices depend on the subject and level. We always confirm the price with you before any lessons are booked, so there are no surprises.

You pay securely by card, and you can see every payment in your Nerdely account.

Let us know within 72 hours. We’ll look into it and, where it’s right to, refund the lesson. If your tutor cancels, you’re never charged.

Lessons, homework and test scores all appear in your Nerdely account, with notes from the tutor. You also get a short report every month.

Yes. Tutors set homework and quick quizzes after lessons, plus a short test each week. Each one is marked with comments.

Of course. Our team keeps an eye on every child’s progress, and you can get in touch any time.

Every tutor is interviewed by our team before they teach. Lessons take place in our own online classroom, not on personal apps or phone numbers, and you can see lessons, homework and progress in your account.

We only use your details to arrange and run lessons and to keep you updated. You can read the full details in our privacy policy.
