How we teach Computer Science
At Key Stage 3, computing introduces programming logic, data representation and how networks work. Students often begin with block-based tools and move to a text language such as Python.
GCSE Computer Science has two sides: theory, covering systems, networks, data and security, and programming, where students write and trace code. The exams test both, and the programming questions reward careful, logical thinking.
At A-Level, students handle data structures, algorithms, computational thinking and a larger programming project. Tutors help students write and debug code in a shared session, and talk through exam questions on theory. Short quizzes help with the terminology.

Tell us what your child needs
Subject, level, exam board and the times that suit you. It takes a couple of minutes.
We find and interview a tutor
We shortlist tutors who teach that subject and level, interview them ourselves and match the right one.
Lessons are booked in
Live, one-to-one, 50-minute lessons in our online classroom, with video, chat and a shared whiteboard.

Homework, quizzes and weekly test scores in your account, plus a short report every month.
Computer Science tutoring questions
Which programming language will my child learn?
It depends on the school and exam board. Python is common, and tutors match what your child is using in class.
Can a tutor help with the A-Level programming project?
Yes. Tutors can help students plan, structure and test their project, while the work itself must remain the student’s own.
My child finds the theory dull. Can you help?
Tutors turn theory into short examples, quizzes and diagrams so it sticks, and link it back to programming.
Does my child need a special setup?
No. Lessons run in our online classroom with nothing to install. For coding practice, your child uses whatever editor they use for school.
